-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ Something that always criticizes the teacher Luis Jaime Cisneros is the massive opening of universities in our country; but what should be most worrying for us, students of law, is that most of these carry with it the inauguration of a new law school. Given this, we must be grateful and proud that our faculty have qualities that others lack: its mystique, integrated education and, above all, quality.
Being a student of Law, Catholic, just as our teachers say in class the first few cycles means belonging to an "elite." Are common in these initial cycles the qualifiers as "the best law school in Peru," the tip of the coffee cream, "" the Best of the Best "among others. This mystical taught in class has a meaning and is the motivation. Generating motivation among students that feeling to continue this trend, for which it is necessary to study and work for six. However, not only the student effort is necessary to achieve, but also structural and functional aspects of their own faculty to achieve excellence.
What law requires Peru? Gradually you realize that that phrase is true that it is best lawyer who knows more than just law. That's why interdisciplinary counsel has an advantage over it altamente especializado.
Instead, legal education in the Faculty of Law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, unlike other universities, is characterized by forming a humanist lawyer for the comprehensive education enshrined in General Studies in Arts; and an interdisciplinary lawyer who knows the different areas of law and, of course, takes its own path of specialization through elective courses of the branches of interest. Thus, the student PUCP Law, with a strong and solid diversified in the pre-degree, is in a position to compete for a place in post-graduate not only national but international.
Thus, the quality of legal education in our university is recognized in different parts of the world and within our country. This causes the University to become a focus of concentration of students not only from Lima, but also from the provinces who seek academic excellence in the classrooms of Catholic University Law School which has become for years a landmark example Peruvian legal education for quality education.
Who we are and who we want to be like School? Catholic University has obtained over the years, in teaching a law degree, a recognized authority both nationally and internationally. Thus, the fact that we already have a position as an institution of professional placement in the labor market involves the denial of statements about radical changes in the conception of teaching, curriculum and training of our law students.
Change trend of education with which we have obtained the quality and excellence that brought us the recognition of certain prestige would be a complete mistake. That is why any change in the curriculum, the teaching method in the method of assessment or any aspect of the race and the Faculty should be made carefully and based on true foundations to legitimize the changes. However, it can be said that radical changes would lead to a terrible own process of instability and doubt, rather it is time to think about our weaknesses or failures to improve and refine a little more each day.
Now, instead of thinking about radical changes, we must strengthen and improve our bases and faculty to meet the necessary changes required for a school of the XXI century legal education with new and demanding challenges that this entails, and raise education law according to the needs of society continues, gradually evolving every day ...
